Before a thought could enter her mind, Misty approached Shauna with her knife saying nothing but the brunette's name as she did.

Her shaky fingers grabbed the blade and stepped beside the boy. Surrounding him was Van, Nat, and Taissa with broken faces. Shauna couldn't move, her vision focused on Javi's face. Jackie noticed and stepped beside his head, bringing her hands up slowly as she tilted it the other direction.

Shauna brought a quivering hand to her head covering and brought it to her eyes. She stepped forward and placed her hand on the cold skin. It was unmistakably human. Unmistakably child. Her fingers crawled to his collarbone and another tear fell. She brought her hand to his neck and made an incision. When she lifted her knife again, her hand was trembling violently. She felt a hand come to hers and gently grab the knife from her. She then heard Jackie's voice demanding the others to go inside and cover the windows.
