BOUND TO THE ALPHA

"Don't even think about it". Amber hissed, backing away slowly as the hulking Alpha advanced. His eyes glowed in the darkness, filled with a desire that sent a shiver down her spine.

This was Kai, her sworn enemy, the ruthless Alpha of the North Pack she had been forced to marry.

How had she ended up alone with him on the night of their wedding?

The look on his face promised danger, but also something else she dared not name. Her breath caught as he moved closer, radiant warmth rolling off him in waves that fogged the chilled air between them, his fingers lightly tracing down her arm.

"We can't do this," she whispered, but her protest died as the pad of his thumb found the rabbit-quick pulse fluttering beneath her jaw. His lips twisted in a wicked smile that made her heart race.

"Oh, I think we can," he purred, the same velvet tone he'd used yesterday when declaring her people would kneel or bleed - now hoarse with wanting.

She knew she should run, but her feet seemed rooted to the spot. When his lips sealed over hers with possessive precision, she tasted winterberries stolen from her homeland's gardens - impossible this far south, impossible now. This union was forbidden, dangerous, but she no longer cared.
