Somewhere beyond cameras and applause, Raghbir Oberoi lives a life the world thinks it knows, built on fame, charm, and carefully hidden truths.
But what it never sees is the cost of being watched, the weight of pretending, and the cracks fame learns to hide too well.
Jhalak Sharma steps into that life with law as her weapon and silence as her strength, trying to save him from a scandal that could destroy everything. She is meant to protect him, nothing more, nothing less. Saving him from a scandal that could destroy everything should have been simple, but it became the one thing that changed everything.
One choice made knowingly ties them together, turning rescue into consequence and trust into something fragile from the start. What looks simple on the surface begins to crack, revealing secrets, lies, and a reality no one wants to see.
She is one of the millions of fans who admire him from a distance, a truth only her best friend knows. Loving him was never the part of the deal, but now she is the only person who sees him without the spotlight, the one who exists when the cameras stop. And somewhere along the way, Raghbir finds himself falling for her without realizing when it started.
But loving someone who belongs to the screen means learning when to step back. Jhalak knows she does not fit into his world, even when they feel perfect together. Still, no matter what is thrown at them, they keep finding their way back to each other, as if they were always meant to be together.
When fame demands everything and love asks for courage, will they step beyond the spotlight together, or lose each other to it forever?
"No, Dadii!!! She will stay with me!"
Raghav's voice pierced through the quiet drawing room like a crack in glass. His small face, flushed with frustration, quivered with determination. At only ten years old, he already spoke with the authority of a prince one who was never denied anything.
Dadii looked down at him with a mix of confusion and unease.
"She's... the cleaner's daughter, Raghav. You shouldn't befriend someone like her."
"I don't care!" he shouted, fists clenched. "I want her. Only her."
There was a pause. A long one. Mrs Malhotra exchanged a glance with Raghav's mother, who stood nearby, her expression tight and unreadable.
Finally,
She exhaled.
"Alright, alright," she muttered, defeated by love. "How can I go against your wish, my prince?"
π
"Rajesh," said the madam of the house, her manicured fingers drumming against the polished wood of her chair.
"We want your daughter to stay here."
Rajesh blinked, unsure if he had heard correctly. "Madam... but she's just a child."
"Your child," she said coldly, "is now important to our raghav, he wants her."
She paused, letting the words sink in before leaning back.
"Twenty thousand monthly. You'll get it if she stays. If she obeys." Rajesh lowered his eyes to the floor. He had never seen such money in his life.
"Okay, madam," he whispered, heart sinking.
"She will stay. She will do whatever the prince says."
