Aria's breath caught in her throat as she gazed at the creature. Her legs trembled beneath her, and she felt like she was going to collapse. The creature's eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire, and Aria could feel their intensity washing over her. Dillon's soft whisper cut through her fear. "You'll be okay... stay behind me."
