Mariana Caceres has always been the girl on the sidelines-watching, waiting, loving from a distance. In the sleepy coastal town of Old Port, where the rain never really stops, she's spent her life tangled in messy friendships, fleeting romances, and the constant battle of her own fragile body. Facundo's always been her anchor, the reckless musician with a guitar in one hand and bad decisions in the other. But lately, even he feels like a fleeting thing-slipping through her fingers like the rain. Their friendship has always been a little chaotic, a little out of balance, but it's theirs. It's long nights spent on rooftops, shouting song lyrics into the storm. It's laughter that echoes through empty streets and promises whispered between sips of lemonade in the winter, and sips of hot chocolate in the summer. It's knowing that, if no one else will, they'll always have each other's backs. But things are different now. Facundo is chasing something bigger than their small town, and for the first time, Mariana wonders if she'll be left behind. And she's not sure she can handle that-not when the weight of her own body, her own illness, already makes her feel like she's running out of time. So she does what she's always done: she watches, she waits. But this time, she wonders if maybe it's time to stop standing on the sidelines. Maybe it's time to fight for something-before it slips away forever. **Most of these characters are based off of characters from Go! Live Your Way**

The story opens with the storm. Daniela is trapped in it, soaked, trembling, and lost in panic. Her fear of rain isn't just about the car crash, though. There's another hidden truth tied to that night: someone was there when it happened. Someone she never forgot. You. Back then, you were just a kid too, standing by helplessly as the accident unfolded. You saw the wreck, saw the flashes of ambulance lights, saw Daniela being pulled away screaming for her parents. You never knew her name, but that memory has stayed buried in you for years, etched into the sound of rain. Unlike her, you grew to love it, because it made you feel close to that memory, close to the girl who survived. Now, years later, in the middle of a storm, you stumble upon her again without realizing it at first. The curly-haired girl curled into herself, shaking in the downpour, it's her. The very same girl from that night. When you approach, she doesn't recognize you. To her, you're just a stranger. But something about her face, her eyes, snaps you back to that rainy night long ago. The plot unfolds with this haunting question: what if the person you were destined to meet was someone whose pain you had already witnessed, without either of you knowing fate would pull you together again? As the story moves forward, you're torn between telling her the truth, that you were there the night her life shattered, or keeping it hidden so she doesn't see you as part of the trauma. The rain then becomes more than fear or comfort, it's the thread that's always tied you both together. ❗❗PAUSED❗❗
