The ending we kind of all wanted -- and knew we kind of needed, too.
So I don't know about you, but I almost broke down sobbing after that final chapter in Sunrise on the Reaping. (You know, the ones with the accursed red gumdrops...)
So to bring myself (and most likely other hunger games fans) some peace, I wrote this alternate ending for Haymitch and Lenore Dove.

I do use parts of the actual book, but just to tie it up. ALL CHARACTER AND BOOK PARTS USED IN THIS FANFICTION ALL GO TO SUZANNE COLLINS (of course!).
It's pretty short, and I think y'all may like it. The epilogue did bring some peace, admittedly, but this will probably bring more happiness, as well.
I *cough* also wrote a song and will include the lyrics. I think it's called 'Haymitch, my love' right now, and is supposed to be sung by Lenore Dove (of course).
One of the lyrics is pure as a dove, which references to her, but I realize also references to 'Pure as the Driven Snow'... that's cool.

Hello, I would like you to know a bit about this continuation of 'The Hunger Games Series'. I DO NOT own any of these characters, all the rights go to the amazing Suzanne Collins! As this book is very badly written because I was 12 and younger when I had written this. This adventure/love story will be split into different parts. It's the hunger games and maze runner combined! I've never had time to write a book and since I've been quarantined and stuff I figured it would be a good time to make one of my dreams come true!
