Though his feelings for Levi go beyond friendship, he keeps them hidden, knowing that Levi has eyes for someone else. In the face of their rocky relationship, Benedict remains steadfast, always there to support Levi through his hardships and challenges. It is this unwavering loyalty and steadfastness that define their friendship. But when tragedy strikes and Levi passes away, Benedict finds himself unable to cope with the pain of loss. He isolates himself from the world, cutting ties with everyone, including his own friends, and immerses himself in his work and studies. Years pass by, and after much thought, he decides to make a solemn promise to Levi's young son, Maverick, to look after him and guide him through life, just like his friend had done for him.
