Growing up as the second youngest in a Lower middle class family with a strict schedule was weird. Especially if everyone around them always mysteriously feared the family.
Kat- Naming herself after her favorite fictional character: Katherine Thornfield, from her beloved sci-fi novel, knew something was off.
Her household was always quiet, yet chaotic and messy, but at the same time, so clean and put together.
Her and her siblings' lives were already preplanned for them.
They were all enrolled in martial arts and business studies at a private school.
Their parents always saying "You'll need this knowledge in the near future." And "Once you are of age, you'll be joining the family business, no exceptions!"
But Kat didn't want to. Neither did the others, but they didn't have a choice, so they gave in quite easily, while she stood her ground.
She could also never figure out how they always had just enough money, whilst her father was a ceo of a very well-known company and her mother running a business of her own.

Or why they were always training. What were they training for? And what are her father and oldest siblings carrying around guns for?
But as soon as Kat started finding out her family's dark secrets, she was ready to leave them behind. Yet before she could, a new darkness appeared and pulled her in a much different direction than she planned to - from one fighter family to another.

But when push comes to shove, when you're barely alive and should be dead, the people who you don't know may just save you. Surviving without enemies is hard enough. But when the past comes back to haunt and enemies come to fight, the apocalypse may just become almost impossible to survive. Brains and brawn may not be enough. It takes heart to make it day to day. They knew it would be hard. They didn't know it would be next to impossible to survive. This is a story my friend and I wrote together. It took us about a year to complete. But just when she thinks it's over for her, she is saved by none other than 10K. They travel for two weeks before coming across a camp, where Kat finds one she's been missing forever. Kat wants to stay, but 10K decides to leave, which causes Kat to leave, bringing two old friends along. As they travel, there is nothing but tension between the group. Jealousy and envy is always around. Soon, 10K can't take it anymore, and he leaves. Kat, of course is heartbroken, but she before she can find him, her old group catches up. Will Kat find 10K? Will she forgive him for leaving and breaking her heart? Will Kat realize who she truly loves? I don't own any characters except for Kat, Zach, Lena, and thank you creative_writer_101 for Rose. The responsibility you held was weighing down on you, making you think more about them and less about you. You didn't mind though. Anything to stay away from the sinful place you call home. After a while of putting up with Danny though, you had you're last straw ripped away when he hurt you're beloved Mary. You ran away to start a new life, taking Mary with you. You become known as "Shade", a mysterious cloaked criminal known for your stealth and strength. You took pride in your reputation, and the best part was, nobody knew anything about you. From your face down to you're gender, it was all concealed. It was all cloaked. But all this changed once they found you. They took you in, capturing you to mold you into a soldier fighting for the survey corps. You despised the survey corps at first. After all, they stole you from your home. Took you away from the people you loved. They ruined your life, right? But... did they? You're stubbornness and skill capture the attention of a certain short black haired male.
