This book is set in a season 12 setting, 13 nearly 14 years into the apocalypse, after all the spin offs, it's all my imagination, where Daryl gets his happy ending, with his best friends sister.

After 10 long years of not knowing where Rick Grimes was, was he dead? Was he alive? Was he close? Was he far? No one knew, not Michonne, not Arabella, not Daryl, not Carol, Maggie, Aaron, no one knew. That was until 2 months ago when Michonne found Rick at the CRM, she helped him escape and brought him back home to Alexandria, along with hundreds of thousands of people, masses of supplies and resources, loads of research, making the 3 communities: Alexandria, Hilltop and The Commonwealth infinitely better, bigger, stronger and unstoppable. The 3 huge communities function like the old world, hell maybe even better than.

One final problem remains, the fact that Daryl Dixon is taking a detour round Europe, looking for Rick, Carol left a week after Rick returned, to go and bring Daryl back, and soon they return. He returns to his best friend, his family.
