"As you know, Sarah Cameron is the Kook princess-but the Pogues have their own. That girl currently sitting on my roof, staring at the sun like she's waiting for it to answer back? That's Addison Routledge. Call her Addie, though. She acts like hearing her full name physically pains her.

Addie is, without a doubt, the weirdest yet kindest person you'll ever meet. Everyone knows her-Kooks, Pogues, and possibly a few seagulls who owe her food. And the craziest part? The Kooks actually like her. Something about her being nice or whatever. Personally, I think it's because she once convinced Topper that saltwater was just spicy fresh water, and he believed her for a week.

When she's not off doing suspiciously Pogue things with Kiara or sneaking in late-night swims like some kind of cryptid, she's with us. And by us, I mostly mean JJ.

Let me tell you, Addie is an experience. She has exactly zero sense of self-preservation. You think JJ is reckless? This girl once tried to fistfight a seagull over a sandwich. And lost. She also somehow manages to talk her way out of trouble and straight into it at the same time. Like that one time she sweet-talked a cop into letting us go, only to call him 'dude' one too many times and get us nearly arrested again.

And don't even get me started on her thing with JJ. Because whatever that is? It's a disaster waiting to happen. She keeps saying they're just best friends, but I've seen JJ look at beer with less devotion. And Addie? She pretends not to notice, but the girl turns into a full-on menace whenever another girl flirts with him. It's honestly hilarious-until someone ends up bleeding. Which, statistically speaking, is a lot of the time."
