IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Recent events have cancelled this old, old story. However! The synopsis for the rest of the chapters I had planned for the sequel, Cloudborn, are at the end of the second book along with the planned third book I had planned to write. (**Currently in the process of being edited AS OF OCT 2023 lol IDK how long this will take to rework but bear with me**) Set between books 4&5 and written only while book 4 was out, so please forgive any inaccuracies. --- Pyrrhia: a vast island divided between seven warring dragon tribes. Little do they know that the sightings of strange, tribe-less dragons that are so often dismissed as hallucinations or tricks of shadow aren't signs of insanity after all... Not far from the coasts of Pyrrhia lies the land of Grinnen: a small, rocky island with snowy mountains, sandy dunes, heat-seared cliffs, volcanoes...and dragons. No, not SandWings, SkyWings, NightWings or any other Pyrrhian tribes...these are the tribes of Grinnen. The once peaceful land is in danger. A war is in the making after a prejudiced Queen, discovering her treasury raided, promptly accuses an innocent tribe of theft and launches an attack. While fleeing for her life, a young dragoness who has been given a special mission meets an unexpected ally, and together, they set off in search of a missing dragon. Wings Of Fire Breaking Fate
New cover is in the works! ------ It has been three months since the dragonets "prophecy" came to fruition. Every Tribe was trying to adapt to the new peace. For one particularly stubborn tribe (cough cough, Nightwings, cough cough), they were having a rather rough time. Though one rude little bastard adapted slightly faster (mostly due to not wanting to starve again). But one BRIGHT night.. something fell from the sky with burning light. What would the light bring.. a hero?.. or a villain.. - Example dialogue: (this is used in the story, Violence Warning) There were only ten Dragons standing in front of Stargazer. They were all wielding spears and unfortunately they were not Nightwings. They could only watch as the flames from the torches gradually went out on the floor. Fateseakers silhouette could vaguely be seen plucking the heads off of the fallen Dragons like flowers in a field. A ripping sound could be vividly heard as Fateseaker grabbed each Dragon by the throat. Followed by a thunk and crunch as Fateseaker slammed the decapitated heads into ground below, turning them into mush. Stargazer finally managed to pull two of the Guards far enough apart to see what was happening. She saw flames filling the area as the Dragons were torn apart. Without any care for any of their comrades. The Dragons on the ground began to spew flames in any direction they could, unsure of exactly where Fateseaker was due to a mixture of pure panic and darkness. --- (A story about Breaking "Fate") WIP chapters are technically "finished", but I'll add more details, better grammar, etc. The edited chapters will have a (rewritten # times) at the beginning.
