I'm Skylar or Sky for short, I'm 15 and dyslexic because of this I get bullied and I'm hated around school for being 'an outcast'. Bailey is a 7 year old appaloosa cross with an abusive past. He's just like me, dubbed unworthy of popularity due to circumstances being cruel. He is the only thing that keeps me from tipping over the edge and I'm his only chance.

With her many horses she discovers what it is like being an average person at an average school.
