Romance
Two best friends were once known by the world - now, no one remembers their names. After a life cut short, they're given a second chance: sent back in time to a moment that could change everything. They return as the age they died, just in time to save their childhood selves from a fate that once shaped their broken future. With no spotlight to hide behind and no fame to protect them, the two girls begin again - quietly, anonymously, and with a mission they can't afford to fail. Though they grew up far from here, in a life built on questions and silence, the past begins to reveal a truth they never knew: this is where they truly belong. And when they meet two boys - best friends with sparks in their eyes and dreams as fierce as their own once were - everything changes. As bonds form and emotions grow, the girls rediscover something they thought they'd lost: passion, purpose... and love. But their secret is one they can never share - not with the people they're growing to love, and not with the children they've come back to protect. Because this time, they're not chasing the future. They're choosing to stay - for a life that was stolen... and a forever they never saw coming.

Aadesh was expecting a soft romance. The one which he read about in books, the one which swept him off his feet and made him feel alive. The one that took his breath away. Instead, the new boy at school finds that his classmate was emotionally sponsored by Gotham city. His little devil did have the ability to take his breath away. Literally. The girl with the secrets she so desperately tries to hide. The girl with the blade she holds so lovingly against his neck. The girl who's blood spills as if it has a mind of its own, trying to lead astray the curious into forests with dangers she's curated herself.' He didn't want to be in her life, not with her secretive, psychopathic tendencies. Not with his heart beating out of his chest for reasons he couldn't fathom. But somehow, he was. And came with her the dream package. The guy who jokes like nothing matters, patches people up while inventing new expletives, and somehow always ends up right in the middle of things he claims he doesn't care about. The boy who believes in doing the "right thing," even when it's messy, inconvenient, and emotionally expensive, and still stands his ground like it's a personal religion. And that one doll. Soft edges and controlled silence, like satin wrapped around something sharp. She doesn't raise her voice, she doesn't need to. She moves people without them noticing they've been moved, leaves questions instead of answers, and somehow always stays just outside the reach of certainty. Aadesh Malhotra was expecting he'd live a normal life. But curiosity did kill the cat. (or that one time when wannabe golden retriever detective fell for the girl who could make 'good morning' sound mildly threatening.)
