Shadows of Fear and Hope

Shadows of Fear and Hope is a historical fiction short story that follows Liesel, an eighteen-year-old girl struggling to survive in Nazi-occupied territory. Fear rules her world-fear of the soldiers marching through her town, fear of the whispers of betrayal, and fear of the consequences of defiance. But when she reunites with Elias, a former classmate marked by the yellow star, she is forced to choose to remain silent and safe or risk everything to help someone in need.
