The rebellion. Five thousand years ago Crystal Gems from Homeworld rebelled and won. The gems that rebelled were Rose Quartz, Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, and Topaz. Each powerful gems. After the rebellion, these gems were exiled to Earth. But instead of acting like prisoners, they protected the planet full of life. All of them except for Topaz. In battle her gem was shattered. It was too far damaged for even Rose Quartz to heal. Believed to be dead, the shattered pieces of the topaz were bubbled and put away in a secret room of the Gem's temple on Earth.

VERY VERY VERY VERY SLOW UPDATES! Many years ago, a gem emerged on the homeworld near the diamond palace. Pink, being the first one to recognize a gem emerging, told the other 3 diamonds about the information. Her first job to prove her status is to check up on the Crystal Gems and make sure nothing shifty is happening, if something is going on, she has strict orders from Blue Diamond to obliterate them. But once she meets Steven, naturally he slowly changes her mind. Should she stay with homeworld or rebel? I wrote this book like 2 years ago so the information is really outdated compared to where the show is currently, so please don't correct me on inconsistencies. I'm caught up with the show. I know.
