Skyla has never known any family besides her adopted mother Valka, who was the only person she ever had any human contact with. She was never had been allowed to go beyond the boundaries of the sanctuary due to the dangers that laid beyond them.

But one day, the young dragon rider decides to sort of break her mother's number one rule and cross the boundaries that lead her to adventure and soon she discovers something that she had never knew her whole life
