Isla Baker was known as the quiet girl. The girl that never got in trouble, or did anything out of the ordinary. Walker Grey was Kentucky's most known jock or playboy, whichever was better. He was the typical jock, only cared about one thing, baseball. He never EVER dated the same girl more than once. Isla and Walker had a mutual hatred towards each other. Everybody in their small town knew about it. This was until Isla had to tell the CEO of Paul's Luxury Restaurant that she was dating the famous Walker Grey in order to secure her internship and Walker had to bring a date to his older brother's wedding in order to secure his college fund that they had to turn their hatred into a mutual loathing. Is their need for success enough to turn their hatred into something special?

Meet Violet Summers. She's the sarcastic girl who doesn't really ever get noticed by anyone. She blends into any crowd because of how "normal" she is. And she loves it. She wouldn't be able to stand the attention of everyone around her. That's why she won't tell Ryan Bloore, her crush for three years, that she practically worships the ground he walks on. Ryan is the captain of the basketball team at their school, so guys see him like he's a god and girls act like he walks on water. If they were to date, all eyes would be on her- she would be under everyone's scrutiny. So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.
