Erin always wanted a family to love her. A dad, a mum, maybe a sibling or two. But every foster family that took her in sent her back. She was too damaged, too much work. And she lost all hope. She gave up.

But then a man comes along, a firefighter. The one that saved her from the fire. He says his name is Evan, but everyone calls him Buck. Erin hoped this one would stay.

Not long after, another man comes along. Eddie Diaz.

And Erin thought maybe, just maybe, this family will work out. But, she's too scared to hope. To dream.
