In a small mid Michigan town that nobody has ever heard of, things that occur there aren't really discussed much...unless of course you know certain people. For millions of years, the people in Raven's Crest have lived there quietly and haven't gotten involved with the ongoings of any life outside of their town.
When people begin to go missing and horrific scenes start to unfold one summer, the townspeople become concerned and curious. Some of them accuse a young woman named Jayce who keeps to herself, only speaking to two other women whom she's known her whole life while others think it's this mysterious man Reed who had recently moved into town.
Jayce decides to take matters into her own hands and ventures out in the swamplands and pine wood forest that surrounds their town, wanting to find out just what's going on. However, something sinister emerges and she barely escapes with her life; feeling different...changed in a dark, disturbing way.
