A sequel to my httyd fanfiction "To Keep Them Safe". Set in a AU after the third httyd movie, where instead the dragons stayed. This book will have spoilers for my first book, I highly recommend you read the other first....

Some years after Hiccup fufilled Brynhild's last request to find Brielle and Hildra. Hiccup and the rest of New Berk are doing well. Zephyr and Nuffink are growing up around dragons and growing up in peace with them.

But there are some things that haven't been settled...

As Brielle starts to learn more about her mother, she is torn between the mother she thought and remembered her as, and the person most other people remember her as. Can Hiccup help her to move on, and come to terms with who her mother was? Or will she follow in her mother's footsteps? Will she be able to find the family she wants and needs? Or will she drift towards a darker path...?

WARNING: May contain spoilers for the httyd series'Race to the Edge' and 'Riders of Berk/Defenders of Berk'.

I don't own any of the characters, aside from any OCs I add. The characters and world belong to and are from Dreamwork's,'How to train your dragon', universe.
