The school rooftop wasn't exactly a romantic place-rusted railings, old vents humming with life-but to Elena, it was an escape. She'd go there to think, to breathe. That's when she saw him-Leo. She didn't know him well, only that he was quiet, always had headphones in, and never stayed in the same place for long. But that day, he was already up there, sitting cross-legged, sketchbook in his lap. "Didn't think anyone else came up here," he said without looking up. "I could say the same to you," Elena replied, surprised by her own boldness. And just like that, something sparked.
