Melanie Eaton.

Of all the first seven years of her life, it is anything but enjoyable. She has spent her entire childhood in misery as she experienced the abusive behavior of her father, Marcus, the death of her mother, Evelyn, and watching her brother, Tobias, transfer to another faction.

It is only not soon enough for her to realize that she needed to figure out a way out of this dark tunnel of horrible deeds acted upon her.
