(Oh hold.) Amberly Gardner's life sucks. Her lawyer boyfriend dumped her, fired her, and kicked her out of their apartment, leaving her no place to go but to live with her strict father and bubbly mother. While out with an old childhood friend who wants her to drown her sorrows, she runs into an old classmate who works as a nanny for Bill Mullens, a famous Wall Street billionaire. When offered a job as their live in maid, she can't turn down a great pay and a place to stay. But is she ready to deal with their dangerously sexy son, a hidden Grammy winner, and a seven year old diva? And what about the childhood friend who keeps meddling his way back into her life?

The nanny

It seems like a dream come true for Sam. A big house, that she can stay in rent free, no living expenses including food, a nice environment with a huge garden and a pretty good salary. (Never mind the fact that her boss isn't all too bad to look at.) And all she has to do is take care of an adorable, well spoken seven year old girl and teach her about various subjects. At least, that's what the advert said. Sam quickly gets faced with what her mother has always said: if things seem too good to be true, they probably are. Thrown into the deep end with no help from anyone, Sam needs to learn, and rather quickly, how to take care of a child who's acting out and wants her gone. Especially when she starts taking a liking to the striking man with an apparent attention deficit wherever his daughter is concerned. And just when she thinks it's all too much, her past crashes back into her life in an entirely unexpected way. How will she deal with all of these adversities?
