Not too long after first attending the prestigious Hope's Peak Academy, Yunata Shinohara finds himself meeting an upperclassmen of his that is facing a dilemma: Her friend, a reserve course student, has suddenly disappeared and she doesn't know what happened to him.
Seeing Hope for a true friend in her, Yunata takes it upon himself to find her missing friend no matter what it takes, even if he has to face the despair that is both hidden within Hope's Peak and trying to infiltrate it.
