A Guards Spirit

What if you couldn't remember much of your past? Would you seek it out? Or would you pretend it never existed? Or would you hide from it, in fear of what unknown follows you? You yourself don't really know what you'd do, as you yourself are running from the world constantly. But on this particular night, something strange happens. You don't run, not when you're face to face with the head guard of the current village you've found yourself in. And he doesn't tell you to leave. Something about him feels familiar, though you aren't sure as his face is constantly obscured. Who could he be? A hero, a villain, or a friend. What if he's part of the reason you've been running for so long? What if he's what you've been running from? What if he's what you were running to?

So let me ask you this, if you were reminded of a hazy memory from your past, would you run and hide, or face it head on?
