But hey, he's thousands of years old. he has a right to be an ass. armed with Rebellion, and his twin hand guns Ebony and Ivory, he sets out to protect some of the only family he has left, Rose. However, being the Son of Sparda, there were still Demons that slipped through cracks of the Twin's Seal, and broke into the house, attacking the woman before being killed by Vergil. Heartbroken, he finds his son still alive, and in his mother's arms crying. Vergil vows to never let his son experience weakness like he did. He moves back with Dante and Nero, and joins the Devil May Cry Business, all while raising Y/N.

Having moved to the city to focus on school and distance herself from a horrible breakup, she finds herself entranced when a certain handsome demon hunter walks in with some similar complaints in the romance department. An empathetic soul, she lends her ear to his disgruntlement, hoping to help soothe his frustration.
