Severus Snape can't remember who he is. He lives as a muggle, under the name Tobias.
Hermione did everything she could to bring her lovers memories back over the past two years.
Her heart is broken, and each time she sees him, it breaks a little bit more, even though he has no idea who she is. Or who he is, for that matter.
But her eyes burn into his soul and he can't stop thinking about her.
Severus thinks that he is suffering from mental illness (trigger warning) but when the "figment of his imagination" asks him to meet her, he can't refuse.
