Almost Loved

I thought I was done with love.

After a string of failed relationships, I was focused on my future-my projects, my classes, my career.

Then I met him.
Tony Carter; older, confident and way out of my league.

He smelled like trouble, and I couldn't stop noticing him.

At first, I thought it was nothing-just another fleeting attraction.
But as we spent more time together, I realized I was falling for someone I shouldn't.

He says he likes me too.
But he's still tangled up in his past.
