Mariana had been beaten, broken, and abandoned by those who were supposed to protect her. Used and discarded like nothing, the scars on her heart ran deeper than the ones on her skin. The only one who truly helped her heal was her best friend-the one person who never turned away. But when the weight of it all became too much, she pushed him away.
Now, the world has ended. An apocalypse ravages everything, and the people she once trusted are long gone. All that remains is the struggle to survive. But surviving isn't enough. With her past still haunting her, and the world more dangerous than ever, Mariana finds herself back by the side of the one person she can't live without.
In this new world, she must navigate a different kind of hell-fighting to protect the ones she loves, while trying to rebuild the broken pieces of her relationship with the one person who never gave up on her. Will she be able to find healing, or will the weight of her scars pull her under?
Through loss, love, and survival, Mariana has to decide if she can live with the past and still move forward, or if the pieces of her broken self will never fit together again.
