"You know you're staring at Dante again?" Nico's grinning at you. You shoot her a shy look, cheeks heating up. You've been caught.
"What do you expect? How long have you been sneaking around him?" she continues, still grinning, nudging you in the ribs with her elbow. Caught. A little frustrated. A little annoyed with yourself for not daring to just approach him. And so, you say probably the stupidest thing you could have:
"I'm sure I can get some kind of sexual gratification just from staring at him if I try hard enough."
You kick a stone. Then you notice Dante has suddenly faltered - Nero is holding his blade to Dante's neck.
"He must have heard you," Nico chuckles beside you.
