My name is Colleen, I belong to the pack of thorns, or in other words, Thorn pack. I have three months before becoming alpha female, but if I don't find my mate in that time then I have to step down and my beta Riley will take my place. When looking for your mate it's hard because it's not like all the stories about instant love, we all have different tattoos on the back of our necks and when we find our mate they have the same tattoo. The instant love comes into place, with a ceremony in which they stand in front of each other, cut their hands and join them, allowing the blood to mix and connect them.

Riley is my teacher, he's been alongside my father, Henry, since birth. Apparently Riley stopped ageing at 25 because he didn't find his mate, but my father is 55 and will soon retire. He will than become a respected elder in our camp. Our camp is beautiful, though vines do grow thorns on the trees around our camp.
