Jin Ling travels to Gusu Lan Sect, meeting Lan Jingyi and Lan Sizhui, both Gusu disciples but the complete opposite in personality. He begins to get to know his friends better as they go though countless things and become closer friends.

The world is still such a bright place
As a child, Wei Wuxian had been rescued from living on the streets and taken in by the Lans. Being haunted by his past, he slowly got better in the care of everyone in the Cloud Recesses. One day however, he joins in on guest lectures and his whole world turns upside down. OR Wei Wuxian is traumatized, Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen are his caring brothers and Jin Zixuan is an awkward idiot who unconsciously bullies the one he has fallen for until he finally realizes his own feelings. This work is based on request from Olivia Hawkins: "A canon divergence fic where WWX's a blind and a selective mute due to being raped and abused when he was on the streets as a child. Instead of being found by JFM, he's found by QHJ and is taken as a Lan disciple instead. Like LWJ, JZX eventually falls in love with WWX but can't act on his feelings for him because he's engaged to JYL." This is a Zhuiling (Lan Sizhui x Jin Ling from mdzs) fanfic. It's sorta slow burn, there IS a plot, and the first chapters suck btw... In 2018, Xiao Zhan filmed 'The Untamed'. A lot of things happened since then. He woke up one day at a rather familiar place with some familiar faces. It was the day of his first lesson in Cloud Recesses. Thinking that it was a vivid lucid dream, he broke out of character to satisfy his curiosities. The next day, he still woke up in the same place. After a week of screaming upon waking up, he finally accepted in despair that he was not dreaming, and he was in MDSZ novel universe (or is it?). He determined to not die like Wei Wuxian, prevent tragedies and change the future. The first time Lan Wangji met Wei Wuxian, they fought on the roof. When he dreamed of the cliff scene and felt the sorrow and regret of losing someone he loved while watching helplessly at the falling figure, it plagued his mind greatly. He became even more disturbed when he noticed Wei Ying's changes. The two became close. Really close. Together, they planned to save the world and while they were doing just that...
