Anastasia Brown has always been in control. A Northside girl through and through, she's got her life perfectly mapped out - top grades, a pristine social circle, and a future that's already set in stone. As the picture-perfect daughter of a prominent Riverdale family, Anastasia's world is one of privilege and predictability. But everything changes when the Southside Serpents are forced to transfer to Riverdale High after Southside High closes down.

Among them is Sweetpea, the epitome of rebellion with his wild eyes, leather jacket, and the kind of dangerous charm that makes everyone stop and stare. Sweetpea, who's used to getting what he wants, assumes he can win Anastasia over with a smile and a joke. But Anastasia isn't impressed. She's heard the rumors about the Serpents, and she's made it clear to Sweetpea that she's not interested - not in him, and not in the mess that comes with his world.

However, Sweetpea isn't the kind of guy to take no for an answer, and no matter how hard she tries to ignore him, their paths keep crossing. Slowly, Anastasia begins to notice more than just his bad-boy persona.
