As a varsity player she dedicates total commitment to everything she does while maintaining her reputation as the most respectful and polite young woman you'll encounter. She demonstrates considerable potential and makes strong efforts but no honor system recognizes her work. A silent achiever, constantly overlooked.

She strives to please everyone excessively. She conceals her distress with her cheerful countenance and unfailingly courteous actions. Whenever they see her becoming serious or assertive they automatically label her as maldita or nakakairita. Her true self remains a mystery to everyone including herself.

Then Jan came along.

A lazy genius. An esports rep. This future attorney prefers composing music to academic pursuits. Her lack of emotional display leaves everyone unable to decipher her true state of mind. Her presence transforms him because she possesses the ability to melt his hardened exterior.

They liked each other. A lot. Despite strong feelings both maintained their friendship was more valuable than surrendering everything for romantic love.
