In a world ruled by curses and shadows, only the strong survive-and the weak are culled. Nerezza has spent her entire life being told she is nothing. Born last, born unwanted, and treated like a shadow herself, her only value lies in being offered as a potential curse bearer-a living sacrifice to ancient demons. Upon entering the cursed realm, she expects death. Instead, she attracts the attention of Samael, a demon lord whose power rivals Lucifer's-and who has never claimed a mortal before.
