This story takes place after Li Lun's soul gets trapped into the root of the pagoda tree, his true form. In the cave at Huaijiang Valley, a little conversation between Zhuo Yichen and Zhao YuanZhou leads to the self-realisation of many unresolved feelings towards one another, followed by a series of incidents that take place later. With the weight of Zhao YuanZhou's impending sacrifice and the uncertainty of their relationship, will Zhuo Yichen just resign to the same fate as their ancestors, or will he refuse to give in to it and find a way to change it?
