Speak Up

Melissa and Shay were like brother and sister. They grew up together just like both of their parents did.
Melissa doesn't really speak. and if she does, its only to Shay.But that was rare. What was the reasoning behind this and can shay get her to talk after 10 years of NOT talking? Everyone has known about her not speaking and Melissa gets picked on.
