Trim the Soul to Suit the System

This is an angsty, adorable, but still classic Marauders fic. It's a crossover from Divergent and Marauders era. PLEASE DO NOT BE MAD, a lot of my stuff is non canonical because I refuse to accept some stuff. (Yeah, denial is in fact a river and I am drowning in it.)

James Potter is going to turn 21 tomorrow. Tomorrow, he will make the biggest decision of his life: which faction to choose. He can stay with his family, in Erudite, or he can move. Until the test on the day before the Choice, he has no idea what he's going to do. Probably wing it, like he always does. But then something happens during the test. Something that changes his entire worldview.

Remus Lupin has been waiting for years to leave. To escape the suffocating rigidity of Abnegation and finally think for himself. He has too many secrets to stay in this terrible "family" and on the day of the Choice, he can't move any quicker. And then something happens. Something that makes Choosing a lot harder than it should be.

Sirius Black knows what Choice he's going to make when he goes on stage. He knows what bowl he'll bleed into, knows what faction he'll join. He always has, really. And it's not a surprise when he does. But what happens after his Choice will change his life.

Regulus Black still has a year to Choose. A year until he decides to leave behind his shit family or stay with his incredible brother. Not that he would ever admit it, but he loves Sirius. A lot. But he doesn't know how much longer he can live like this.
