The fictional plot of the following fanfiction occurs after the No Way Home finale. So please proceed your reading of this book with caution and just know that the comment sections might also have NWH spoilers. Book Updates are on: Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays ***** After Peter Parker pushes Doctor Strange into completing the memory spell, successfully erasing the memory of his existence from the world, he is left adjusting to a new world with only Spider-Man. A sacrifice all too great but ultimately necessary to protect everyone he cares about. At least, the very few he has left. The world can live without Peter Parker, but it cannot live without Spider-Man... Or so he thought? So what happens when everybody in the world forgets who Peter Parker is? After all, with great power must also come great responsibility. ***** "We have to drop these off to the homeless shelter first" I remind him lifting up boxes packed with donuts. "Why FEAST out of all places MJ? It is so far away. Why can't we go to a closer one?" Ned whines as he grabs a couple boxes from the counter as I make one last swipe before closing the shop. "I honestly don't know why. I just do" I shrug as we make a sharp left down the street down towards the shelter. "Did you volunteer there or something?" He asked to make easy conversation and I thought about it for a second before responding "No I don't think I have" as Ned nods with "same." "But it's cool that you're doing this for them even when you don't know anyone there" He smiles as I smile in return. "Thanks. I just-I don't know. I think I knew someone there. Maybe from school or something" I tell him softly as I search in my mind for any clues. Nothing. *****

It has been sixteen years since Morgarath's victory. King Oswald is dead and Duncan is in exile. Morgarath now sits upon Araluen's throne, thirsting for more power. With the Ranger Corps eradicated, there is no one strong enough to stop him, not alone at least. Will, a lowly farmer of the Aspienne fief, is bored. Life on the farm had never clicked with him, and he begins to long for more. The unknown calls to him, and saving his family is enough to push him on. Gilan is a rising star with the knights of the kingdom, though those around him know he hasn't been behaving well. After the death of Sir David, his father, Gilan is dismayed as everyone around him believes the death to be an accident. He knows in his heart that his death was murder, and he knows that Morgarath had something to do with it. Crowley moves through the forests of Araluen with an entourage of "real" rangers under his command. Never having the heart to leave, he and the rangers travel across the kingdom, doing their jobs in secret, waiting for an opportunity to restore the Ranger Corps. Halt is a renowned assassin. He lives the low life in Gallica, making coin by performing tasks for others. When a messenger from Morgarath finds him in his home, Halt does not hesitate to take up the biggest offer he has ever received. Traveling to Araluen with the thoughts of riches, he finds himself struggling with his identity and who he is really meant to be. A farmer, knight, ranger, and assassin. Four strangers destined to rebuild Araluen from havoc. Morgarath's reign is ending. Araluen needs to be saved. ~A Ranger's Apprentice Fanfiction~ ~An AU~

(Story changes themes and topics at each "Introduction" chapter) Excerpt: "... In a deathly cold voice Milori finally responded, "From now on when you go out I expect you to tell me where, when and how long you will be. I will also issue you a winterman bodyguard to go with you on your daily outings." Immediately Clarion glared and pulled away, "Thanks but I'll pass actually. We may have made a business arrangement but you are sadly mistaken if you think you now have any say over what I do. I have been ruler of Pixie Hollow for decades, not you. I have a stake in this land and it's products, not you. And I will continue to do as I have when and wherever I wish." Satisfied that she got her point across, Clarion made an attempt to get past him but instead of moving aside he swiftly wrapped a strong arm around her waist and pulled her back in front of him and up against his chest. Gingerly, he lowered his mouth to her ear and practically whispered his next biting words; "Actually, I do have a say and what I'm saying is you WILL tell me when, where and for how long you are going some where..." *Best Rankings = #1 Pixiehollow #1 Milarian #1 Rosetta #1 Fawn (4/11/25) #1 Silvermist #1 Milori (6/20/24) Word Count: 68,000 September 2018
