This is a fresh start for Matt but what happens when a certain Illusionist catches his eye and suddenly everything seems to be a competition. Matt takes a step inside the clubroom and clears his throat. The kid wearing the crown whirls around, "Oh, hi! Can I help you?" Matt fidgets with his shirt sleeve as he speaks, "Yeah I was just hoping to join the Human Appreciation Society?" "Yeah that's us, come have a seat." The kid smiles as he motions to an empty seat at the end of the table next to a girl with blue hair who seems to have an eyeball for a face. "I'm Augustus, the president." The kid says motioning to himself.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" she asked, trying to sound nonchalant, though she could hear the sharpness in her voice. "I figured," he replied, now flipping through the textbook, his voice calm. "Of course, you did," Lily muttered sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "Didn't catch that," he said with a smirk, clearly amused. "Nothing. I said nothing," Lily said quickly, edging a little further away from him, hoping to put some distance between them. She could feel the strange tension building but wasn't sure how to deal with it. He knows my name. She thought again.
