Sommer has always felt different but didn't know why-until she meets Jordan, the sweet and caring deputy who opens her eyes to a world she never thought she could be part of. As their friendship deepens, Sommer begins to confront the parts of herself she's kept hidden, unsure of what it means to be true to her heart.
Navigating the messy, complicated journey of self-discovery, Sommer makes mistakes and stumbles, but through each misstep, she finds pieces of herself she never knew existed. As she learns to embrace her identity, she also learns how to love-first herself, and then the person who makes her feel truly seen. But love, in all its beautiful imperfection, isn't always easy. With the pressure of family expectations, the sting of past heartbreaks, and the risk of losing the person she's grown closest to, Sommer's path to love is anything but smooth.
The Truth I Found in Her is a raw, heartfelt tale of embracing one's truth, learning through trial and error, and finding the courage to live a life unapologetically your own.

"That cannot happen again." Sunny spoke breaking the silence between us. We must have been sitting in my car for a solid five minutes without saying a word to each other.
"Why?" I said I not bothering to look at her. I kept my eyes forward. "Because it's not appropriate." She was stern in the way she was speaking but I could catch the slight uncertainty in her tone. I decided to mess around with her until she finally breaks and confessed how she really feel.
"Did you forget you kissed me back." I turned my neck to look at her. She bit her lip and looked down. "Yes, I know and I shouldn't have done that." "Why? Isn't that what you wanted to do." I smirked making sure to watch her every movement.
