The Weight of What We Forgot


After waking from a coma he barely remembers falling into, Malakai returns to a world that moved on without him. His friends are strangers now. His ex-girlfriend is long gone. His parents are divorced, and the mother he once knew has become a distant, successful therapist who treats their conversations like sessions. As if he's something to fix. As if he wasn't already broken.

But just when it feels like he's drowning in the silence of what used to be, he meets him, the boy with too much on his shoulders, a smart mouth, tired eyes, and a home filled with chaos and love in all the wrong places.

As their lives start to intertwine, Malakai begins to uncover fragments of the night that changed everything and with them, truths no one wants to say out loud.
