The Jester and the Tramp; A play in Three Parts, is a piece of literature that evokes either sympathy or rage for the Tramp, whose path took a turn towards degradation, of character and morals. While the Jester, a true wisdom seeker, doesn't realise his status until the very end, when he's either not heard completely or cut out by his former friend, The Tramp.
