Book 1 of Crystal Crown Series Princess Forsterite offered herself to Emperor Kaiser Kingsley for him to spare the Kingdom of Oliviland from being conquered and enslaved. She performed her duties as the new empress and even went as far as supporting the concubinage system of the empire. Despite her efforts, she earned little respect from the empire's high society. Amidst all this, she received a message from the very familiar of her twin sister. "I am to marry the emperor of the south on the next full moon. Emperor Kaiser and your presence is much appreciated. I shall await your response." Forsterite knew that it was a cry for help, however, if she took her sister back, this would be a declaration of war against the emperor of the south. Putting her title as empress and her life at stake, she would do everything in her power to save her sister.

Told from the time she was a child that she'd never amount to anything, the rowdy and adventurous Eulalie had no expectations to marry. Her sister, however, the studious, soft-spoken, and regal Leanora, had always appeared as if she was destined for greatness. The girls grew up close, but would later find that an accidental meeting within an enchanting palace with an even more enchanting prince would tear them apart. Read along as Eulalie, once unused to the spotlight, assumes what she had always considered to be her elder sister's destiny, including her husband. *Loosely* based on the story of Empress Sisi.
