A story of a boy who struggles with the bearings of schizophrenia, and builds hope through his visits with Doctor Teary in Room 17. Born in a rough household, his many attempts to feel loved by his family fail. The only real friend he has is his cat, to which he ventures through rolling fields and towering cities to find himself. Along the way, he has several dangerous encounters and meets new people who build confidence and learn him of things he never would've dreamed possible. 

When his hometown is bombed in an act of terror, he is left in a twisted dystopian world where adventure is the only thing that keeps him alive. Who can be trusted, and what strange creatures lie in wait for him around every corner? Journey with Jacob and his precious furry feline as he struggles to decipher what is real, and what is just a fantasy.
