The fall of us

Levi had a perfect life. The kind people envied without knowing the weight of it. Good family. Good friends. A future that stretched ahead, predictable and comforting. But everything changed the first time he saw Zola. She was like a spark in a room full of static-a dangerous kind of beautiful, raw and untamed, with eyes that seemed to know more about pain than anyone should. He should have walked away, should have seen the warning signs, but he didn't. The moment their eyes locked, something in him shifted.

Zola was chaos wrapped in a fragile shell. She didn't talk much, but when she did, her words stung with truth, and he found himself unable to look away. She was always on the edge of something-drugs, fights, bad decisions-but when she looked at him, there was this moment where the storm calmed, just for him. It wasn't love at first sight, not really. But it was something more dangerous. A pull. And when he kissed her that first night, something cracked in him, too.

He didn't know it yet, but that kiss was the beginning of the end for him. Zola had already been drowning in her world of drugs and self-destruction. She had tried to hide it-at first-but Levi's world was too clean, too perfect for him to stay oblivious. And when he found out, when he saw the needles, the pills, the way she slipped further into the darkness, he made a choice. A stupid, reckless choice. He would save her. He would take the drugs from her, no matter what it cost him.

But saving her wasn't as easy as he thought. In the end, it wasn't her he was saving. It was himself from the emptiness that came with trying to fix something that couldn't be fixed.
