"Every fiction book that has ever been created occurs in the same universe.

While knights are fighting dragons, the next vampire phenomenon is being played out. This world is beautiful as it swirls with possibility and everyone's fantasy comes to life. But it is far from good.

Corruption reigns as governments vie for representation in the books being published upstairs, in your world. Our lives do not matter. Our thoughts and feelings are dirt for the sake of entertainment. I myself have been whittled down to the "damsel in distress" archetype and it has cost me dearly. Society is a mess and anyone who speaks out is immediately silenced."

Those are the words of Paige Burns, just another character in our books. She is stuck in a boarding school until she meets a witty, outspoken girl who brings with her a book written by someone who has escaped their horrid society, which, by the way, has some shocking similarities to our own. They break the book's code and with two stalkers and me, they embark on a journey to break free of a society they fear they can no longer fix.

Throughout the journey, I recorded every conversation, every incident, every thought, and every last fear.

I made my way to the kitchen as usual and opened the fridge and grabbed a drink. My mom was usually in here,preparing a snack for my brother and I but today she wasn't. To think of it,it was too quiet around here I then proceeded to go upstairs to my room as I know my brother has soccer practise and my dad is at work.
