Immortality is only a glass away, but living forever comes with a cost.
The blood of Amanita Langton's ancestral line is the only known source of magical healing in the world, and that alone is enough to put her life in danger. After her mother's grisly murder, Ami is forced to flee her home in steam-powered London along with her father and a young man named Lysander, who insists he's been sent by the gods themselves to protect her. Ami simply thinks he's a nuisance.
Despite intentions to hide somewhere and live a quiet life, the journey quickly becomes a race to find the missing ingredients to the elixir of life, the provider of immortality, the drink of the gods, her ancestor's namesake: ambrosia. Unfortunately, immortality in a glass is a dangerous temptation, and some will stop at nothing to take it for themselves.
The longer Ami runs, the less she understands. Torn between love, her family, her future, and a magical legacy she never knew, Ami is forced to make impossible decisions not only for herself, but that could shape the fate of the world. The fate of the gods themselves is at stake in this magical Steampunk adventure piloted by a cast of enchanting characters and a heroine struggling with a question close to all our hearts: Who do you want to be?

Hedge's telling of it was a masterpiece. Ultimately, I caved. I missed the characters too much and there's something about this story that makes me feel like myself again, so, here we are. After getting permission from Hedge✔️ and scouring the internet for any lost bits of his writing✔️ I began the rendition. Hedge left while his story was still unfinished, so chapters 1-21 are entirely his, and I'll be continuing and finishing the book (and series) beyond that. My dream for this book would to be to edit/finish it and hand off the polished, completed version back to Hedge to publish. The literary community is too starved for lgbt representation, especially in the girl/girl department, and this book is like a lifeline. Thanks guys!!Complete

Since the death of both sets of her parents, Fynnith has lived far to the northwest, in the orcish fighting pits of Argul Kar after being taken as a prisoner when just a child. Having survived as the most feared fighter in the pits for over a dozen years, her mental health has increasingly deteriorated to the point where she is constantly hearing a voice in her head telling her to break out of the stone cell she sleeps in between fights, as she had a destiny to fulfill. After blacking out when the voice finally got too loud, she wakes up on a dirt road in a land she doesn't recognize. With an uncertain future, she looks to restart her life, not knowing that events beyond her knowledge have already started to move in ways that will force her to fight for things that the fighting pits never could have prepared her for.
