"Why don't you just leave me alone... I'm not good for you." She typed the words fast, her fingers trembling just a little. Not because she was scared - she was never scared - but because this was dangerous. The kind of dangerous that wasn't about fights or fire... but feelings. Feelings were worse. The three dots appeared on her screen. He was typing. Again. "Why aren't you? You're perfect." Her heart skipped. And then tripped over itself. No. No no no. Not again. She stared at her phone for a long second, biting her lip, already typing before her brain caught up. "Well then I'll think about it. But that doesn't mean yes... it's like 5%... Yh take it like that." She hit send and instantly regretted it. His reply was immediate. "Ohk... so you do like me. 5%." She groaned. "OMG no. Read my full text." But he was already celebrating. "But you said it. Did I lie?" She stared at her screen and rolled her eyes so hard it physically hurt. "No... I mean yes... I mean GO AWAY. Boys are too annoying." And she slammed her phone face-down on the bed and screamed into her pillow. Somewhere across the city, he smiled like he'd just won the lottery.
