Inaya and Zain were cousins - Inaya being the daughter of Zain's phuppo (paternal aunt). Despite the familial connection, they were never particularly close growing up. Zain had always been distant, reserved in nature, never letting anyone too close, and Inaya, with her soft-hearted and observant self, had always noticed him from afar. Maybe it was. admiration, maybe a childhood crush - whatever it was, it remained unspoken.
Fate, however, had its own plans. One day, they found themselves bound together in the sacred bond of nikah. It was a sudden turn of events, driven more by family pressure than personal choice - especially in Zain's eyes. To him, it was a forced marriage, an obligation rather than a desire. For Inaya, it was confusing. Her silent feelings now stood face-to-face with harsh reality.

He stopped and sighed before leaving the room.
